Job Summary:

  •  We have an immediate opening for a Service Manager to provide leadership and accountability for the service department, and the performance of service operations.

The ideal Service Manager has…

  • Minimum of 5 years’ well-rounded experience in a service department, preferably in an agricultural dealership.
  • Appropriate vocational education required; degree and certifications preferred.
  • Previous people and service department management.
  • Ability to professionally lead, develop, and motivate others.
  • Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills in hydraulics, electronics and emissions.

The Service Manager will contribute to our team by: (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Ensuring all company values are adhered to and promoted.
  • Achieving the objectives for the service department: revenue, margin and expenses.
  • Managing operational objectives for the department: work in process, warranty, training, and efficiency objectives. 
  • Appropriately staffing and scheduling personnel for the most efficient and safe performance of the department and ensures all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including trucking operations.
  • Managing, motivating and engaging all service personnel in their individual performance, developmental plans, efficiency targets and good work habits.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Communicating with all location personnel, particularly technicians, service writers, sales representatives, parts personnel.
  • Promoting KanEquip Service to the local market and staying up to date with education of new products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, uphold all corporate policies and procedures and continually improve and learn in ways that strengthen our performance and expand opportunities.  

If you have/can: (Skills and Experience)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and employees.
  • Expertise with computer systems, including MS office and internet-based applications.
  • Ability to work extended hours during the week and weekends
  • Ability to travel to company meetings and training events as needed
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle status, with current driver’s license, and ability to operate motor vehicle
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug screening.
